I remember when I was a child I always wanted to make my own paper boats. So I knew I had to try to make one with my kids and I have to say they loved it! the experience was a little chaotic at the beginning because Abigail was not cooperating but the end result was totally worth it.
As you can see we were able to build a boat out of paper with a set of twins. Let’s get crafting with the kiddos. You can download the template at the bottom of the page for free.
- Colorful craft papers.
- Paper plate.
Cut the paper plate in half.
Then use red paint to draw three stripes on the plate.
Allow the paint to dry.
Then paint the borders of the paper plate using yellow and blue paint.
Allow the paint to dry down for a few minutes.
Use the PDF template to cut out the boat sails
Glue the sails with the paper strip. Use card stock papers to make it steady.
Glue the sail to the boat. Allow the glue to dry,
Then finish it off by glueing the windows on the boat.
