There is no such thing as a perfect parent
When you are expecting a baby, try to avoid large expenditures on overpriced baby items. All the necessary baby items, such as a crib, blanket or changing table, can be bought at department stores like a K-Mart or Big W for much cheaper while still giving you high quality. Also, consider borrowing some nursery products from friends or family members. There are so many new contraptions on the market nowadays that you really don’t need.

When expecting a baby, don’t go overboard buying overpriced items
Lay your child on the counter in the kitchen and lay a rolled towel under his neck; use the faucet water and put it on his hair and scalp. This can help many toddlers who fear having water poured on their head or don’t like their head being dunked in the water when having their hair washed.
While it is important to spend time with your kids, you always need to set aside some time for yourself. Taking that little bit of time for yourself can really help to recharge your batteries, and also help you discover who you are outside of your parental role.

Take Time Out For Yourself to Recharge Your Batteries
A young child should never drink soda or soft drink as we say in Australia. Provide your child with healthy drinks, such as milk and plain water. Soft drink is full of sugar, colouring and preservatives which are unnecessary for a child and can also bring about some pretty bad behaviour too.
All children that walk to school need to have reflective materials affixed to clothing and backpacks. You can buy Velcro strips of this material that you can attach and detach from their clothing or accessories. This enables crossing guards and drivers to see your child more clearly and from a farther distance, particularly early in the morning when it is sometimes still dark.
Don’t smoke indoors if children live in the house. As a matter of fact, this is an excellent reason to just quit. Breathing second hand smoke can be just as harmful as smoking. Children who are exposed to second-hand smoke experience a higher incidence of respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia.
Each child is unique. Just because one parenting style is effective with a child does not mean it will be as effective with another. You may have to find different ways to discipline the next child and come up with new reward systems. Despite this, be sure to remember the techniques that you have used.

Different kids respond to different styles of parenting
Framing clear family rules that use positive words can go a long way to help reduce fighting and help your children to get along with each other. Saying “Touch gently” gets better results than “No hitting” does.
Don’t forget your child’s favourite toy, blanket, or stuffed animal when traveling. A young child can easily be confused about a vacation as it is a break from their routine, and you don’t want them to be spoiling the fun for the rest of the family. Having your child’s favourite blanket or toy will let them have some familiarity in the new setting and make them more comfortable.

When travelling with your child, take something familiar for them
Children want to do things on their own. If you give your kids some tasks they can perform around the home, it will help them get more confident. For example, if you are washing dishes, allow your child to dry them. Give your kid a sock pile to sort while you do the laundry. By helping you with these tasks, it will make them feel very independent.
You should know that not all kids are outgoing. Kids can be shy and aloof, but that isn’t a bad thing! It is important to notice if your child is overly withdrawn. You should take your child to their doctor if you notice that your child is too withdrawn to rule out any health issues.

You may want to take your child for a check up if they are overly withdrawn
